Keep It Simple

September 29th

“Be not either a person of many words, or busy about too many things.”

—Marcus Aurelius

Meditations

In the whirlwind of daily life, it's easy to become caught up in the endless chatter and the to-do lists that seem to stretch on forever.

Marcus reminds us to simplify, to speak only when necessary, and to focus our energy on what truly matters. Are your words adding value, or simply adding noise? Reflect on your conversations today. Did they serve a purpose, or could a moment of silence have carried more weight?

Our attention is a precious commodity that is often squandered on tasks that demand much from us but offer little in return. It's vital to discern which endeavors are worthy of your time.

Ask yourself: Are you spreading yourself too thin, trying to do too much, pleasing everyone but pleasing none, not least yourself?

Prioritize your commitments. Choose to engage deeply rather than widely, and watch as the quality of what you do—and your satisfaction in doing it—soar.
