“How many together with whom I came into the world are already gone out of it.”

—Marcus Aurelius

Meditations

Isn't it amazing how time flies? This introspective note urges us to acknowledge the reality of change and impermanence. In your life so far, how many of those you started your journey with aren't around anymore? Childhood friends? Family members? Old neighbors? It's a bit melancholy, but also a startling reminder that time stops for no one, and we don't have as much of it as we like to think.

Such awareness about the transient nature of human life and relationships is not meant to depress us, but to encourage a sense of gratitude and urgency. Isn't it time we cherish those around us without wasting our precious moments on petty squabbles or unproductive thoughts?

Remember, every new day is another chance to make a difference, to express love, and to truly live. After all, wouldn't we want to rigorously make the most of our journey before we too "go out of it"?
