Use Your Precious Brainpower

November 6th

“We must make haste then, not only because we are daily nearer to death, but also because the conception of things and the understanding of them cease first.”

—Marcus Aurelius

Meditations

Time is of the essence, always.

This quote by Marcus Aurelius reminds us that not only is our time on earth finite, but our ability to comprehend and conceptualize also wanes. Think about it—aren't you constantly closer to a point in life where understanding and learning may not be as effortless as now? This isn't meant to scare you but rather nudge you to delay no longer.

Take a moment to evaluate your daily routines. Are you putting off learning that new language or skill, or delaying that passion project? What if we started living each day fully aware of how precious this time and our clarity of mind truly are?

Marcus urges us not to wait because we subconsciously believe we have infinite time and an unwavering mind. Instead, start now. Seek knowledge, pursue your plans, open your mind before it's too late. Because, remember, we are not just closer to our end, but also to a time when our minds may not cooperate as they do now.
